- Lega Autonomia Veneta
The Lega Autonomia Veneta (Venetian Autonomy League, LAV) was a regionalist
centre-left Venetian political party active in the 1990s.The party was composed mainly of dissidents from
Liga Veneta , but nevertheless its long-standing leaders wasMario Rigo , formerly Mayor ofVenice (1975-1985) and MEP (1984-1989) for theItalian Socialist Party , andOscar De Bona , another ex-Socialist who was elected President of theProvince of Belluno in 1995 and re-elected forThe Dolomitic Agreement in 1999.Rigo was elected for the party to the Chamber of Deputies in 1992 (in list with the
Sardinian Action Party ) and to the Senate in 1996 (in coalition with The Olive Tree). In 1997 LAV merged, at the regional level, with theNorth-East Movement ofMassimo Cacciari , while, at the national level, it became theLeague of Regions . The Movement of Cacciari merged intoThe Democrats in 1999 and the League of Rigo disappeared by 2001.External links
