Strynø

Strynø

Strynø is a small Danish island in the southern Funen archipelego and is part of Langeland municipality. Lying south of Tåsinge, north-east of Ærø, and west of Langeland, Strynø covers an area of 4.88 km².

The population of Strynø in 2007 was 214, according to [http://www.dst.dk/HomeUK.aspx Statistics Denmark] .

The island hosts one shop, one inn, one kindergarden, one school (ages 5-10) and the [http://www.smakkecenter.dk/Home Øhavets Smakkecenter] , a small maritime museum and activities centre.

A 28 minute ferry connects Strynø with Rudkøbing.
