- Science Rendezvous
Science Rendezvous is an annual
science festival inCanada ; its inaugural event happened across theGreater Toronto Area (GTA) on Saturday, May 10th 2008.This free all-day event aims to highlight and promote great science in Canada. The target audience is the general public, parents, children and youth, with an ultimate aim of improving enrollment and investment in sciences and technology in the future.

The Rover team seen in the picture did an amazing job designing and builing the first and only mars rover participating in the International Rover Competition held in UTAH annually.
Some of the team members consisted of :

Programs
There are three core programs that people can participate in:
INVENTours
Laboratory tours, demonstrations, activities and lectures at a number of science, technology, research and educational institutes. Sites hosting INVENTours on Saturday, May 10th 2008 include:

Ontario Science Centre at pubs; intimate discussions with renowned scientists on current hot science topics.Malls of Science
Hosted by Scientists in School, demonstrations and hands on activities in malls.
