Kenny "Pancho" Hagood (1926 - November 9, 1989) was an American
jazz vocalist.Hagood was born in
Detroit ,Michigan and first sang at age 17 withBenny Carter . He sang with theDizzy Gillespie Orchestra from 1946 to 1948 and then withTadd Dameron later in 1948. He recorded two pieces withThelonious Monk in 1948 and withMiles Davis on the "Birth of the Cool " sessions in 1950. He then moved toChicago and laterParis ; he recorded withGuy Lafitte in the 1960s. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1965 to 1980. In the 1980s he returned to the Detroit area.Discography
