Jia Lanpo (zh-c|c=贾兰坡,
November 25 1908 , Yutian, Hebei Province -July 8 2001 ) was a Chinese prehistorian. Professor Jia was one of the founders of Chineseanthropology . Cenozoic Research Laboratory of theGeological Survey of China . In April 1931 he joined the excavation atPeking Man inZhoukoudian where he worked with many of the biggest names in anthropology of his era, includingPierre Teilhard de Chardin ,Henri Breuil ,Davidson Black ,Franz Weidenreich andPei Wenzhong whom he replaced as the head of Zhoukoudian excavations in 1935. After 1949 he served in many academical positions as well as working in the field.
