Al Poling (born in New York City, New York) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, 911.

Career

He achieved his greatest national exposure in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) in the mid-1990s. He debuted in ECW as a "handler" to Sabu. Later his gimmick was as an enforcer of the "extreme" attitude, and he was named 911 and joined Paul Heyman's "Dangerous Alliance" stable with Sabu and Tazmaniac. Whenever something happened at an ECW event that the fans found to be not extreme (examples include the appearance of Santa Claus and the bWo doing a lengthy impression of the rock group KISS), 911 would run out and chokeslam the offenders.

In ECW, 911 was known for chokeslamming Bill Alfonso during the near-end of the ECW World Tag Team Championship match between the Pitbulls and the champions Raven and Stevie Richards after Alfonso "allowed" the chokeslam in favor of Big Dick Dudley against Tommy Dreamer.

He briefly wrestled in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Big Al and Tombstone.

In 1994, he won the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Rookie of the Year award.

Throughout the late 1990s, 911 appeared with the New Jersey based Jersey All Pro Wrestling promotion, winning the JAPW Heavyweight Championship on two occasions.

He was last seen at Hardcore Homecoming in 2005, where he chokeslammed both Danny Doring and Roadkill.

911 wrestled at New York Wrestling League in 2008.
