Pam Byrnes (born June 25th, 1947) is the Democratic State Representative in the
Michigan State House of Representatives , representing the 52th District which covers parts of Washtenaw County.Byrnes was elected to the State House in 2004, beating Republican
Joe Yekulis by over 5000 votes. Her election was notable as she was fighting against Yekulis for the section of western Washtenaw that he had represented on the County Commission for the past decade.2006 election
Byrnes was the lone Democrat running for State Representative in the the district. She faced Republican
Shannon Brown in the general election, and she was reelected by over 11000 votes.2008 election
Byrnes is running for re-election for the final time, due to Michigan term limits. Byrnes will be running against Eric Lielbriedis, of Saline.Fact|date=July 2008
