Biography
He was born in
Kansas City, Missouri . In 1948, he moved to New York where, on theG.I. Bill , he studied at theArt Students League of New York withYasuo Kuniyoshi (4 years) and withMorris Kantor . In the early 50s, he achieved prominence both in New York and Europe for his early abstractions. His first solo exhibition in New York was in 1956 with the Martha Jackson Gallery.Works and Exhibitions
As of 2008, he continues to work in acrylic on canvas, as well as
watercolor on paper.
