1977 jazz duet album bysaxophonist Archie Shepp andpianist Horace Parlan . It is the first of a series of duet records featuring the two musicians. The album was recorded in one session at Sweet Silence Studios inCopenhagen and was critically praised by the jazz community soon after its release. It consists of Shepp's and Parlan'sjazz interpretation of spirituals and black folk songs to which the album title alludes to.Overview
