Benjamín Aceval is a town in the Presidente Hayes department of Paraguay. The city is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Benjamín Aceval.

Etymology

It is named the leading Paraguayan diplomatic documents to President Rutherford B. Hayes, who gave the ruling in favor of Paraguay during the War of the Triple Alliance.

History

Founded on April 30, 1859. The first settlers of the place were foreigners who arrived in Villa Hayes. Before being named Monte Society, in 1940 this district was created by Act 436 of October 6. Through the award Hayes is recovered thanks to the President, Rutherford B. Hayes, who ruled in favor of Paraguay in the War of the Triple Alliance. It stresses the participation of diplomatic Benjamin Aceval, who transported the documents to Hayes.

Benjamin Aceval has two companies: Cerrito and Costa.
