Ziva Kunda (born

She obtained herPh.D. at theUniversity of Michigan and was the author of the classic text " [http://mitpress.mit.edu/catalog/item/default.asp?sid=0AB6598D-1106-4742-A585-0D46133482D4&ttype=2&tid=4382 Social Cognition: Making Sense of People] ". At the time of her death, she was a professor ofpsychology at theUniversity of Waterloo ,Canada . She was married toPaul Thagard , a professor ofphilosophy at the University of Waterloo.Awards
Her paper "The Case for Motivated Reasoning," published in
