Lord Lawson of Beamish Community School is a comprehensive school in the town of Birtley in the Gateshead area of Tyne and Wear, England, which has almost 1,500 students. It was first opened to pupils in the early 1970s, and has recently been rebuilt on the same site in September 2007, although the demolition of the original building is not yet complete. The new building was constructed by the Sir Robert McAlpine Building Company. The school is a specialist Arts College and 'Leading Edge' school and in 2006 was graded at the standard of 'Outstanding' by Ofsted [cite web|url=http://www.lordlawson.org.uk/news/2006/ofsted06rpt/Lord%20Lawson%20of%20Beamish%20Community%20School%20288091%20-%20Published%20Inspection%20Report.pdf|title=Ofsted report|publisher=Ofsted] , scoring highly in all categories except for the facilities, although this should be remedied by the move.

The school is named in honour of Jack Lawson, a prolific British trade unionist.
