Żarnów IPA-pl| [|'|ż|a|r|n|u|f|] is a village in Opoczno County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Żarnów. The first written mention of Żarnów dates from 1065. It was a site of a major battle (the Battle of Żarnów) during the Swedish invasion of Poland ("the deluge") in 1655.
