The 13th edition of the FINA Men's Water Polo World Cup was held in the Alfréd Hajós Swimming Pool on Margitsziget (Margaret Island) in Budapest, Hungary from June 13 to June 18, 2006. The outcome of the competition was the third victory for Serbia and Montenegro in the World Cup – as Yugoslavia, the team won the 1987 and 1989 editions.
