The Serbia men's national water polo team represents
Serbia in internationalwater polo competitions and is controlled by theWater polo Association of Serbia . It was previously known as theYugoslavia men's national water polo team until February2003 and the Serbia and Montenegro national water polo team until June2006 , when Serbia declared independence as the successor state to the State Union ofSerbia and Montenegro .They hold a record for most European championships won in a row (3; 2001, 2003, and 2006).
