Cinquantenaire Museum

The Cinquantenaire Museum or Jubilee Park Museum is located in the Cinquantenaire park in Brussels, Belgium. It is part of the Royal Museums for Art and History, which is a Belgian federal institute of the Belgian Federal Science Policy Office (BELSPO).

The collection of the museum consists of four parts:

• The collection of national archaeology which collections dates from prehistory to the Merovingian period (751 AD)
• The collection of antiquity with collections from the Near East, Egypt, Greece and Rome. The Roman collection includes a model of the city of Rome of the 4th century AD.
• The collection of non-European civilisations with collections on Asia, such as China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, and America showing pre-Columbian civilisations and current traditional societies, Oceania e.g. Easter Island and the Islamic world
• The collection of European decorative arts from the Middle Ages to the 20th century showing sculptures, furniture, tapestries, textiles, costumes, lace, ceramics, metals, glassware, old vehicles, photographic and cinematographic equipment, etc.
• A special space of the museum, the Museum for the Blind, enables the blind to discover art objects by touch.
