Wooloweyah

Wooloweyah

Wooloweyah is a small village located on the Northern Coast of New South Wales, Australia. It is approximately five kilometres south of Yamba and approximately two kilometres west of Angourie.

Wooloweyah is named for the lake that the village backs onto. Local opinion is that the word "Wooloweyah" translates roughly to "Lake" in the regional Aboriginal dialect, however further evidence or confirmation of this fact is needed.
