MediaCorp TV12 Vasantham will be an Indian-language channel dedicated to the local Indian community in Singapore. The channel will launched on 19 October 2008, migrating the current Vasantham Central timebelt. Programmes in Tamil and other Indian languages will be increased from 29 to 69 hours each week. With the extended hours, there will be more reality programmes and the introduction of long form dramas. Programmes

There will be daily local soap dramas on weekdays, local variety/entertainment and info-educational programmes and 4 Live Shows per week.

News and Current Affairs

The first run of Vasantham Tamil News will be at 8.30pm. It will repeat from Mondays to Thursdays at 11.30pm daily and from Fridays to Sundays at 12pm.

Movies

There are 5 movie slots per week.
*Tamil Silver Screen (TSS) – Latest blockbuster Hits from the Kollywood Film Industry.
*Bollywood Masti (BM) – Blockbuster Hits from the Glitz and Glamour of the Bollywood Film Industry.
*Vasantham Box Office (VBO) – Evergreen movies of yesteryears from Kollywood.
*Indian Panorama (IP) – Featuring the regional movies from India. Includes Telegu, Malayalam, Kannada and Punjabi movies
*Cinema Express (CE) – Encore movie slot featuring the best of Kollywood movies
