Bartholomew of Bologna [Bartolomeo da Bologna, Bartolomaeus di Bononia, Bartolomeus de Bononia.] (died c. 1294) was an Italian Franciscan scholastic philosopher. He was a follower of John Pecham [Jorge J. E. Gracia, Timothy B. Noone, "A Companion to Philosophy in the Middle Ages" (2003), p. 384.] .

He studied at the University of Bologna, and then for a degree at the University of Paris [ [http://users.bart.nl/~roestb/franciscan/franautb.htm#_Toc427589412 Franaut-B ] ] . His works include the "Tractatus de luce", on optics but from a spiritual angle.
