Katie Mitchell

Katie Mitchell attended Magdalen College, Oxford, and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1998.fact|date=September 2008

Career

Mitchell received the Evening Standard Award for Best Director in 1996 for "The Phoenician Women" by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Although Mitchell's work has received mixed reviews from London's theatre critics,fact|date=September 2008 her 2004 production of an adaptation of Euripides' "Iphigenia at Aulis" at the National Theatre was widely praised.fact|date=September 2008

In 2008 she became an NT Associate at the Royal National Theatre.
