Today the school has grown to include students in the

Founding of the School
Reid School was founded in 1987 and is operated by Mervin and Ethna Reid. Ethna Reid received a Ph.D. in education. The ECRI (Exemplary Curriculum for Reading Instruction) program was started in 1978 by Ethna Reid. She started and now helps teach ECRI throughout the United States. Labor Day and ending the Friday before Memorial Weekend. The school also has the traditional breaks, including a one week spring break. The school has approxiamtely one hundred and eighty school days. Mervin and Ethna Reid bought the East Millcreek Elementary School in 1987. The school serves students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. Students have the option to stay their 9th grade year. The school also serves a preschool. The preschool now has a total of fifty students and is broken up into two different preschools. Thepreschool is now broken up into two separate preschools. The school class sizes average twenty students per class. Reid School serves approximately two hundred students.chedule
The school schedule starts with reading in the morning. There is
Math ,Science ,Social Studies ,P.E. ,Music , Spanish,Journalism andBroadcasting . The school also produces a yearlyUtah Shakespearean Festival . The school has produced this play over the years with the help of Dr. Nelson. The school has produced the plays of Hamlet, Mcbeth, Twelfth Night, and a Midsummer Night's Dream. Reid School is a school which places students according to their abilities. This has led to different groups of students being in different grades. The school tests the students regularly to see if they are improving in their performance. Students are able to master key concepts such as reading, writing, math and science. Students are tested according to their learning abilities. Students are able to go according to the students pace. The ECRI program focuses on the students comprehension and understanding of the reading material. Students are tested on their reading and math skills. The school also places students in the math classes according to the students level of math. The Reid School also includes the students in social studies, science, math, reading, Spanish, music, gym, journalism and broadcasting. Reid School is a fairly new school. The average students have just graduated or are continuing to graduate from colleges. Some of the students who have attended the school include the
Huntsman ,Eccles and the Dibb family. The mother isAnn Dibb daughter of President Monson the current president of the LDS Church. The school was formerly known as East Millcreek Elementary.
