- Wargrave Boating Club
Wargrave Boating Club (WBC) is an English water sports club. It is based on the
River Thames in England, atWargrave on the reach aboveMarsh Lock .The club has a long history and supports four activities -
Canoeing ,Skiffing , Punting and Rowing. The club also takes part inDongola racing . The club colours are maroon and whiteThe club is closely associated with the
Wargrave and Shiplake Regatta at which all these activities are represented. The club also competes in skiffs atregatta s run under the rules of theSkiff Racing Association , and in punts under the rules of theThames Punting Club . Skiffs are traditional, stable wooden boats which are sculled with a pair of blades. Punts are 2ft and 1ft racing punts. The Rowing section is currently seeking affiliation with theAmateur Rowing Association .ee also
