Glasgow Metropolitan College Library Services

Glasgow Metropolitan College Library Services run two libraries to support students in their studies at Glasgow Metropolitan College, which is Glasgow's largest further education college.

Library Services

Libraries are located in the Millennium Building at the North Hanover Street site and on the second floor at the Cathedral Street site. A map indicating locations may be found here [http://www.glasgowmet.ac.uk] . The libraries provide staff and students access to computers, software applications, reprographics, book, multimedia, and periodicals collections as well as e-resources (databases and subscriptions) supporting curriculum. E-resources may be accessed via focused subject gateways on the highly praised library website at [http://www.glasgowmet.ac.uk/library] or via an ATHENS [http://www.athens.ac.uk] account when not in College. Librarians run inductions and popular workshops on how to use e-resources. The DVD collection is wide-ranging and is refreshed regularly with new releases. Guides and details of services have been translated into twelve languages and are posted on the library website.
