George Ancona

George Ancona (born December 4 1929) is an American award-winning photo essayist, author and illustrator of children's books. He was born in New York, and currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico.cite web |url=http://www2.scholastic.com/browse/contributor.jsp?id=2187 |title=George Ancona | publisher=Scholastic Corporation |accessdate=2008-03-22] In 2002, Ancona received the Washington Post Children's Book Guild Nonfiction Award.
