"Kiss the Crystal Flake" is an album by the rock band The Mother Hips, released in April 2007. The song "Time We Had" was featured as a playable bonus track in the music video game "Rock Band" and "Time-Sick Son of a Grizzly Bear" was released as a downloadable track. "Time-sick Son of a Grizzly Bear" also includes the line "Were you out in Monterey/ In Joaquin Murrieta's day/ Adobe huts in the cypress groves/ Is where the rich man now builds his homes" which is a nod to the infamous Mexican patriot/bandit Joaquin Murrieta. The track "Wicked Tree" mentions the album's title.
