Peter Inverso

Peter Inverso

Peter A. Inverso (born December 24, 1938) is an American Republican Party politician, who served in the New Jersey State Senate from 1992 to 2008, where he represented the 14th Legislative District.

Before entering the Senate, Inverso served two stints on the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders, from 1987 to 1989 and earlier from 1981 to 1983. He served in the New Jersey National Guard from 1956 to 1962.

Senator Inverso was Assistant Majority Leader from 1998 to 2001, and currently serves as the Deputy Minority Leader, a post held since 2004. Inverso served on the Senate Law and Public Safety and Veterans' Affairs Committee.

On March 26, 2007, Inverso announced that he would not be seeking a sixth term in the State Senate. [Rietmeyer, John. Inverso received a B.S. degree from Rider University in Commerce and Accounting. He is the President of Roma Federal Savings Bank. District 14

Each of the forty districts in the New Jersey Legislature has one representative in the New Jersey Senate and two members in the New Jersey General Assembly. The other representatives from the 14th District for the 2006-2007 Legislative Session wee:
