Hoani MacDonald is a New Zealand Rugby Union player that plays provincial rugby for Southland, and is in the Super 14 team the Highlanders.

McDonald has agreed to a move to Magners League side the Newport Gwent Dragons, and will join up with his new team in September 2008.
