I Concur are a alternative rock band from Leeds, UK.

The band are known for using their lyrics to tell unusual stories from modern culture. Subject matter has previously focused on the Korean stem cell scientist Hwang Woo Suk (on Decimal Places), the building of the M62 motorway around Stott Hall Farm (on Build Around Me) and the American TV series The Wire (on Sobotka). Career

I Concur's their first gig took place at The Packhorse, Leeds, in January 2007 and in the subsequent May the band released their debut EP ‘Whatever it’s going to be’. Following a support with The Hold Steady [ [ http://www.leedsmusicscene.net/article/8658/ Leeds Music Scene – Hold Steady @ Cockpit ] ] , I Concur were added to indie label Dance To The Radio’s various artists compilation, ‘Out of the Woods and Trees’ [ [ http://www.dancetotheradio.com/index.php?page=news&newsid=67 – Dance To The Radio - DTTR IV - Out Of The Woods And Trees ] ] , then in March 2008, the band released a limited 7" double a-side single ‘Lucky Jack / Build Around Me’ through Brew Records which was played by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio One. The following July BBC Introducing announced that I Concur would play at Reading and Leeds festival. I Concur are currently working on their debut album which is due for release in summer 2009.

Band trivia

Chris Woolford has played additional guitar for various other Leeds based bands including Vessels (at Leeds Festival, Latitude Festival and Bestival) and Glissando (at Fell Foot Wood festival). Chris is also one half of Leeds-based DIY promoters Forest of Sound along with his friend Paul Elam of The Declining Winter.

Tim Hann is the guitarist in The Lazy Darlings who are also based in Leeds.
