Hansons of Wordsley and Central Connect Diamond route 226

The 226 route is a bus route in the Dudley area of the West Midlands, United Kingdom.

History

* 27th April 2008 - Service was extended from Kingswinford to Dudley as part of the Dudley Network Review. A evening and Sunday service was introduced by Diamond Bus under contract to Centro.

* February 2005 - The 226 was introduced to run between Merry Hill Centre and Kingswinford by Hansons of Wordsley.

Present

Route 226 has a journey time of 50 minutes each way - Merry Hill Centre to Dudley. Hansons of Wordsley run it commercially during the week and Saturdays, with Diamond Bus running evenings and Sundays with West Midlands Passenger Transport Executive funding. This was a replacement for National Express West Midlands service 274/275.
