Based in the
Dublin suburb ofBallinteer , the club was originally founded in 1978 by Paul Smith and Tom Reeves. The club play their home games at Broadford Park on Stonemasons Way, and have developed the facilities to include two dressing room pavilions and two all weather astroturf training pitches.Primarily focussed on schoolboy football, Broadford also have successful senior men's teams playing in the Leinster Senior League. They were promoted to intermediate football in 1996 under the guidance of Liam Kealy and former Shamrock Rover player Michael 'Jimmy' Gregg. They have been relegated from intermediate for only one season since, and are now playing in Division 1A.
