Polydroso, also Polidrosso, Polydrosso and Polidrosso (Greek, Modern: Πολύδροσο, Katharevoussa: -ν "-n"), older form: -n is a small village in the municipality of
Paramythia in theThesprotia prefecture,Greece . Its 2001 population was 127 for the village.Population
Location and transportation
Polydroso is located southeast of
Igoumenitsa , southwest ofIoannina , northwest of Arta andAthens and north ofPreveza .Geography
Its geography are mainly mountains, its farmlands are in the valley areas and the village, the forests dominates the area and includes pine, spruce and other trees.
History
The archaeological remains in the surrounding area was settled around the 4th century BC. During the Roman Invasion (169-167 BC) stopped the action in the area and settled the area along with the rest of Thesprotia. It used around 13 centuries to find the life od the main rhythm. The today settlement was refounded in 1790 from the main ares which existed until 1827. Most of the modern families came from the far Sotira and
Upper Deropoli inAlbania which arrived around 1800. It became a part ofGreece after theBalkan Wars in 1913. AfterWorld War II and theGreek Civil War , its buildings were rebuilt. Polydroso became connected with asphalt in the 1960s. More pavement was accessed in the late 20th century. Electricity, radio and automobiles were introduced in the mid-20th century, television in the late-20th century and computer and internet at the turn of the millennium.ports
Polydroso's famous event includes rafting, kayak, horse racing, gliding, boating and jetski. Mountain climbing is also common in the area.

Polydroso has a school for the entire municipal district (the former community), a church, a square ("
plateia "). Its nearest gymnasium (middle school), lyceum (secondary school) are in Paramythia.ee also
