Racing Club de Avellaneda . In 1992 he joinedBoca Juniors where he was part of the squad that won the Apertura 1992 and theCopa de Oro . He played a total of 106 games for the club in all competitions, scoring 13 goals.Carranza then had a spell with Racing Club's fiercest rivals;
Independiente before joining San Lorenzo where he became a key player.In 1997 Carranza had a short spell in
Mexico with Veracruz before returning to Argentina to play forEstudiantes de La Plata .In 2000 Carranza played for
