Henry Mosley was the 5th Anglican Bishop of Stepney from 1919 [ " New Bishop Of Stepney. Appointment Of The Rev. H. Mosley" The Times, Monday, Jul 28, 1919; pg. 9; Issue 42163; col B] until 1928 when he was appointed Bishop of Southwell [ "The See Of Southwell Appointment Of Bishop Of Stepney. (Official Appointments and Notices)" The Times Saturday, Jun 16, 1928; pg. 14; Issue 44921; col E ] .

Education

He was born in 1868 [“Who was Who” 1897-1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X] and educated at Keble College, Oxford before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with a Curacy at Bethnal Green.

Career

Further inner city posts followed [with the Trinity Stratford Mission;then asRector of Poplar] as he rose (via the post of Rural Dean for Hackney and Stoke Newington) to be the Suffragan Bishop of Stepney in 1919, a post he held until elevation to Southwell nine years later. He died in 1948.

Family

He married Mildred Willis in 1908 and had 1 son and 1 daughter.
