- Kajiwara Heima
(1842?-1889) was a Japanese
samurai of the lateEdo period who was a retainer of the Aizu domain. He served as a "karō " in the Aizu administration, and supervised political affairs during theBoshin War , also attending to matters of arms procurement. [Majima Isao, "Matsudaira Katamori kashindan jinmei jiten," in "Matsudaira Katamori no subete," p. 189.] After the war, he went toNemuro , and died there. His grave in Nemuro was recently rediscovered.Kajiwara claimed descent from the Kamakura-era warrior
