"Little Miss Obsessive" is the second and final single from Ashlee Simpson's third studio album, "Bittersweet World" . The song features the Plain White T's lead singer, Tom Higgenson, on vocals. Background

The song is about relationship trouble, describing a situation in which a couple is fighting and one partner says something out of anger that she later regrets, wanting her partner to return. "I guess we're really over", Simpson sings, but immediately afterwards she sings: "So come over, I'm not over it". Speaking about the song, Simpson said: "Every girl has gone through that situation. Release

Simpson premiered "Little Miss Obsessive" on the KISS FM DreX Morning Show in Chicago on February 21. It was confirmed as a single in a February 25 interview with "Total Request Live" and by her official website, which called it the album's "first official single". As promotion for the release of "Bittersweet World" on April 22 2008, Simpson performed "Little Miss Obsessive" on MTV's "TRL" on April 15, for the episode that aired on April 17. Music video plans

In an interview on "The Sauce" on February 27, Simpson said that she envisioned the song's music video having a "Sliding Doors", "Eternal Sunshine" effect". Simpson said on "TRL" that she would be shooting a music video for the song after the end of her club tour in March. No music video is known to have been filmed, however, most likely due to Simpson's (now Simpson-Wentz') pregnancy.

Charts
