Upperstall.com is a web site on Indian cinema that focuses on classic and independent Indian cinema and its luminaries. It was founded by Karan Bali, Saumil Gandhi and Karan Anshuman and launched on July 7, 2000, heralding the 104th anniversary of the first ever motion picture screenings in India. In 2004, Richard Corliss of Time (magazine) gave it an 'Honorable mention' of 'Best Movie Website'. [cite news |first=Richard |last=Corliss |title=The Lord of the Feeling: The Return of the Feelies |url=http://www.time.com/time/columnist/corliss/article/0,9565,582962,00.html |work=Time |date=2004-01-26 |accessdate=2008-02-21 "..The preeminent sites for the study of, respectively, classic Hindi films and current ones. Upperstall, which offers essays on 63 movies and an equal number of stars, was my main textbook in researching Bombays Golden Age (the 50s to the mid-60s)."]

Upperstall.com's current and classic film analyses cater to more serious film buffs and enthusiasts. The web site is continually updated with its trademark re-reviews. Upperstall.com re-reviews presume people have already watched a film before reading the articles. The site is free and accessible to all, requiring no registration and is often used as a reference site by Universities [cite web |url=http://library.stanford.edu/depts/hasrg/film/feature_films.html |title=Film and Media Studies Collections |accessdate=2008-02-21 |work=Stanford University ] .
