CKOA is a Canadian FM radio station, broadcasting at a frequency of 89.7 MHz in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Owned and operated by the Coastal Community Radio Cooperative, the station broadcasts a community radio format branded as The Coast 89.7.

The station was licensed by the CRTC in 2007, and went to air on December 3 of that year.

Coastal Community Radio Cooperative Ltd (Coast 89.7) began life as a low-powered 50-watt Special Event station licensed by Industry Canada, and broadcasting from studios in Glace Bay and the Sydney Boardwalk.

Coastal Community Radio Cooperative Ltd launched the new 6000 watt FM Stereo station headquartered in Glace Bay to serve residents in communities of the CBRM. Coast 89.7 FM is a 100% locally owned radio station with increased transmission power and coverage area providing local news, sports and community information in a 24 hour a day 7 day a week permanent radio service. Our music programming specializing in Cape Breton & east coast music complimented with an additional mix of Canadian and International musical artists. Besides more musical variety, Coast 89.7 FM features special emphasis on local news and sports coverage, and a number of specialized programs.
