Nina Tassler is an American television executive, a graduate of Boston University (bachelor of fine arts in theater), and holds the position of President of CBS Entertainment since September 2004.
Tassler was born to a Jewish father and a Puerto Rican mother who converted to Judaism.[1] She is the highest profile Latina in network television and one of the few executives who has the power to greenlight series.[2][3] Her boss is Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group. Tassler oversees CBS' prime time, late night and daytime programming, as well as program development for all genres.

Pre-CBS
Tassler grew up in upstate New York and eventually graduated from Boston University. After college, she moved to New York City and worked for Roundabout Theatre Co. After a few years, she moved To Los Angeles. There, she worked as a talent agent at Triad Artists for about 5 years before moving on to Warner Brothers.
"Tassler said media titan Leslie Moonves, currently the president and CEO of CBS Corp., helped her find a home at CBS. In 1997, she started out as vice president of drama at CBS Productions before being promoted to senior vice president of drama development at CBS Entertainment and ultimately settling into the role of president."[4]
