Cellware

Intro

Cellware.com is a social networking site which provides tools for users to create original mobile content. Cellware's business model shares the site's advertising revenue with its members. Users can visit the site to download ring tones and mobile wallpaper. Members of Cellware's social community can also earn money with every piece of content they create themselves.

History

Cellware.com was the first mobile social networking site to offer a complete selection of mobile content, including ring tones, wallpaper, videos, video games and applications, for all types of mobile phones. Created by Advertising.com's co-founder, John Ferber, Cellware combines a social network with the ability to explore, create, and share content by users. Cellware collaborates with other content producers to deliver users a wide spectrum of content from new & underground music to extreme sports and movie trailers to animation and mainstream TV content. Initial content partners include: Alliance, Arphiola, Norstar Media, NO GOOD TV, Go Music Network, Oddcast, Selectracks, SoundIdeas, 4info, and Hanaho Games.
Informa, the leading international provider of specialist information that feeds the business community, recently measured mobile content to be worth 31 billion dollars and mobile social networking an additional 3.45 billion dollars. As of 2007 there were an estimated 2.3 billion cell phone users worldwide. * [http://www.plunkettresearch.com/Industries/WirelessCellularRFID/WirelessCellularRFIDStatistics/tabid/263/Default.aspx]
