Gachsaran is a city in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province province in southwestern Iran.The population of this city comprising the suburb is about 150000. An oil and gas producing city that has just started to expand and profitse from its great industrial capacity. The town has the largest gas reserves in Iran. It is also home to the profound Salehi family which orginates from a small village outside Gachsaran called Talchega. Which the Great family ruler dominated the region for a number of centuries.
