subdivision = See textVivianiaceae is a family of
flowering plant s placed in the orderGeraniales . The family name is derived from the genus "Viviania " Cav. It includes both the genus "Viviania" ("te de burro") and genus "Caesarea " Cambess. There are around 1-5 genera in Vivianiaceae ("Caesarea"), if includedLedocarpaceae ("Balbisia" (incl. "Ledocarpon"), "Rhinchotheca", and "Wendtia"). [APG II] A relationship with Caryophyllales, was formerly suggested; but morphology (S-plastids) and chemistry are close to Geraniales.
