The Falcon GT 1967 XR origins can be traced back to a police Ford Falcon sedan V8 XR hi-performance Pursuit Interceptor programme for Victoria police. These were the beginnings of the Falcon GT legends, the 1967 XR then the '68 XT, '69 XW, '71 XY ,'72+ XA,'73+XB Bathurst winners.
