"Liarea egea egea" is a subspecies of small land snail, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Liareidae.

Distribution

This subspecies is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand, from Rotorua and the Waikato north to Wellsford, and also on Little Barrier Island and the Hen and Chickens Islands.

hell description

The shell spire is about 1.33 times the height of the aperture.

The shell colour pattern consists of a broad spiral brown band on the upper base, and a hydrophanous pattern of irregular axial streaks on the spire.

Shell height is up to 7.3 mm, and width up to 4.5 mm.
