The France national basketball team is the national basketball team representing France. It is administrated by the Fédération Française de Basket-Ball ("French Federation"). France is considered as a medium European basketball power. Despite some good results, they still haven't won a major international tournament. France as been a regular at EuroBasket, with 32 presences, but its best result to date was only the Silver Medal at EuroBasket 1949. The French Squad also won two Silver Medals at the Basketball Olympic Tournament, in 1948 and 2000. They failed to qualify for the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Tournaments. France's best result at the Basketball World Championship was the 5th place in 2006.
