"Daivajanam" is a collection of essays by Thomas Kuzhinapurath in Malyalam language on socio-theological issues. Malankara Seminary Publications published the first edition of the book in 1998. One of the articles in the book ("Paalam Thettunna Kaumaram") was selected by the University of Kerala for the pre-degree syllabus [The University of Kerala, "Bhasha Thilakam",Thiruvananthapuram, 1998] (1998).

The article within the volume "Malankara Katholikkasabhayute Kanonika Vyakthithvam" argued that the juridical status of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church (which was as a Metropolitan) is incompatible with its jurisdictional history [Kuzhinapurath, Thomas. "Malankara Katholikka Sabhayute Kanonika Vyakthithvam" in Daivajanam, 1998, pp. 35-41; See also, Thomas Kuzhinanapurath, "Malankara Catholic Church sui iuris: Juridical Satus and Power of Governance" in www.scribd.com ; Thomas Kuzhinapurath, "Metropolitan Church sui iuris: Juridical Satus and Power of Governance", Christian Orient, XXI/I, 41-48] . In 2005, the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church was elevated to the status of a Major Archiepiscopal Church [Syro-Malankara Catholic Church ] .

Carmel International Publishing Centre published the second revised edition of the book (ISBN 81-87655-13-5) in 2000. [www.ciphindia.com/daivajanam] On the fifth anniverssary of publication of "Daivajanam", Daniel Poovannathil published a collection of 5 studies on Daivajanam named "Daivajanapadhanangal". [Daniel Poovannathil, "Daivajana Padhanangal", Carmel Publishing Centre, Trivandrum, 2002]

The book has 3 major sections, Enquiry, Appraisal, Approach, which address subjects such as priestly formation, the juridical status of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, lay participation in the church, the sacrament of marriage, Catholic social teaching, and Pope John Paul II's encyclical Veritatis Splendor. "Daivajanam" presents the complex theological works of Karl Rahner, Jürgen Moltmann, Teilhard de Chardin, and Ladislas Orsy in ordinary unstrandable language without losing the depth of their thought [Dr. D. Babu Paul IAS, "Upodkhadam", "Daivajanam", Carmel International Publishing Centre, Trivandrum, 2000, pp. xi-xx] .
