Patrick Carney (born April 1980) is the drummer for the Black Keys, a blues/rock band originating from Akron, Ohio. His uncle is Ralph Carney, sax player for Tom Waits.

Patrick's father, Jim, is a reporter for the Akron Beacon Journal.

On July 7, 2007 Patrick was married to former Akron Beacon Journal reporter and current Cleveland Scene reporter and long time girlfriend, Denise Grollmus. Theodore Mallison of Houseguest performed the ceremony.

His style in some songs is similar to John Bonham's with "Aeroplane Blues" being one example. Both Carney and Dan Auerbach, the lead singer and guitarist for The Black Keys, record with Nonesuch Records. The group's second album, "Thickfreakness", was recorded in Patrick's old apartment basement.

In late 2005, Carney and former Party of Helicopters guitarist Jamie Stillman started their own record label, Audio Eagle. As of May 13, 2008, Audio Eagle has released albums by Gil Mantera's Party Dream, Houseguest, Beaten Awake, and Royal Bangs.
