Yenny is a daily webcomic by Puerto Rican comic artist David Alvarez. It started in 1988 as a comic strip named "Zacha & Anyelín" in a Puerto Rican town newspaper. For years she appeared in several websites, until it became known among comic strip fans.

toryline

At age 22, Yenny longs for a career as a catwalk supermodel. She’s gorgeous, but two things stand in her way – monumentally huge feet (whom David Alvarez has stated as 15 inches long). So instead of an apartment in Paris her home is a cottage on Puerto Rico’s Villa Los Kubos beach, which she shares with her globe-trotting mother Yunissa, her irrepressibly mischievous iguana sidekick Zacha, and a tiny, silent sea turtle named Bukestalifaro – “Buke” to its friends. A minor feature is Yenny's immense ticklishness, where even deodorant cause her insane torment, as do the pedicures often given her by the blonde darling Penny.

Between modeling assignments and long stretches of beach-lolling and volleyball, Yenny tackles an assortment of extremely odd jobs, most notably that of babysitter to the nightmare child "Cheecaca". Surrounded by an assortment of outlandish neighbors and family, Yenny and Zacha manage to bring cheerful chaos and confusion to their lovely corner of the world on a daily basis.

Today it is syndicated by Universal Press Syndicate's GoComics and it's published inside magazines in the Spanish language area specially in Puerto Rico's leading newspaper 'Primera Hora'.

*Yunissa was separated from Yenny's father for quite some time. Once he came back into their lives, her mother got pregnant with Yenny's youngest sibling.
*Abuela Ana, who is determined to conceal her granddaughter’s skin beneath conservative 19th-century clothing.
*Her longtime nemesis is a stuck-up girl named Margot Sebazco.
*She also has a twin brother, Yomar, who makes semi-frequent appearances in the strip. He's a quiet man, who is apparently an attractive one as well, considering Margot's attraction to him. On the March 31, 2008 strip, it was revealed that Yomar may not be Yenny's twin brother.
*Her best friend is Tomato, a beautiful, smart Black girl.
*The tan-averse Blanko Girls are a pair of Goths.
