Two Degrees was founded in Denver in 1993 as Accounting Quest, LLC, with a focus on recruiting and accounting temporary services. Other offices followed, including: Seattle – January, 1995 Portland – November, 1996 Phoenix – January, 1998 Chicago – January, 1999 Minneapolis – December, 1999 (since closed) Atlanta – August, 2004Between 2001 and 2004, the company spun off two divisions, Two Degrees Consulting (now named
Slalom Consulting ), a business and technology consulting firm, and Xversity, an MBA and early-career staffing service. In May 2004, the company was renamed Two Degrees, LLC to reflect the “two degrees of separation” between its clients, Two Degrees, and the project resource or employee to fit the client’s need. In 2007, the company started its Principal Associates Practice, which provides veteran accounting and finance professionals to handle more complex financial issues, including international accounting, SEC reporting, regulatory compliance, financial process design, among others.
