Ken Early

Ken Early is an Irish journalist and broadcaster. He is Chief Football Correspondent for Newstalk 106 and is a key member of the station's "Off The Ball" football show.

In late 2007 a Facebook campaign began to ensure Early succeeded Steve Staunton as manger of the Republic of Ireland national football team. This failed with the appointment of Giovanni Trapattoni.

Early wowed Marseille during a soccer trial in his youth but injury cut short his chances of a lucrative playing career. He is a contributor to Village magazine, edited by Vincent Browne. He is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, where he was active in the University of Dublin Publications Committee and the University Philosophical Society_Trinity College Dublin
