high school in Bayugan,Agusan del Sur ,Philippines . It has a population of around 5,300 students, and is located on a site that has an area of 2 hectares.The school is currently recognized for its research program in science related topics. In the National Inventor's Week, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, in November 2006, at high school level, the top prize for the Sibol Award was won by student Anthon Mark Jay Rivas and her science teacher-coach, Gregorgene Burdeos, for their discovery that water lilies can be used for making alternative fuel. The school is currently recognized for its research program in science related topics. In the National Inventor's Week, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology last November 2006, at high school level, the top prize for the Sibol Award was won by student Anthon Mark Jay Rivas and his science teacher-coach, Gregor Burdeos, for their discovery that tilapia scales can be utilized as an efficient radiation shield. [1] Then in February 2007, Rivas made his to be part of the team Philippines that will compete in the upcoming 58th Intel International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A. on May 13–17, 2007.
